After enduring a challenging period at FC Bruges, Mohammed Tchité is now experiencing a turnaround in his fortunes. Once considered persona non grata and relegated to playing with the club’s reserves, the Congolese-origin (DRC) striker has found a renewed opportunity with the arrival of the new coach, Michel Preud’homme. Tchité, formerly associated with Racing Santander, completed his second training session with the FC Brugge professional squad on Tuesday.

Speaking to Club TV, the Bruges TV channel, Tchité, born to a Rwandan mother, expressed his resilience and optimism. Despite the trials he faced, the striker, on the brink of a comeback, never gave up. “Mentally and physically, I feel on top,” he revealed, adding, “Don’t expect big speeches from me: I prefer to let my feet speak for me.”

The player, who weathered the storm that swept through his career, appears to have undergone a transformative experience. “It’s like I’ve landed at a new club. Finding my teammates gives me an indescribable feeling,” Tchité shared. Despite the seemingly lengthy period, he didn’t waste his time during his period with the reserves. “The time seemed long to me, but I did not waste it throughout my penance. I worked hard with the Espoirs, and I don’t suffer from any injuries. I am not yet bringing forward the date of my effective return to the team. But I have a feeling it won’t be long.”

Confident in his ability to contribute significantly to FC Bruges, Tchité expressed, “I am convinced that I can bring a lot to the Club until the end of the season. I’m happy, too, that the supporters have always supported me, even in the difficult times I’ve had. I will never forget him.” The striker’s positive outlook reflects a determination to make the most of this newfound opportunity and contribute meaningfully to the team.
