Just yesterday, it appeared that Barry Boubacar Copa was on the verge of extending his contract with Sporting de Lokeren. However, the situation has taken a different turn. Today, the Ivorian international goalkeeper finds himself uncertain about his future. As his contract with the club expires next June, Copa remains noncommittal when questioned about his plans.
“I’m not certain about leaving. What’s certain is that my contract expires next June. I don’t determine my future; that’s up to God. He will make the best decision for me and my family. Anything is possible. At 34 years old, I still feel fit and ready,” remarked Barry Boubacar Copa.
Despite ongoing discussions with club management regarding a contract extension, no agreement has been reached thus far. Copa has also received offers from other clubs, and there is a possibility that he may pursue opportunities in France.
