Teungueth FC has officially announced the appointment of Beau Saliou Touré as their new head coach.
The Rufisque-based club confirmed the news on Tuesday evening, though the length of his contract remains undisclosed.
In a statement released by the club, Teungueth FC expressed their full confidence in Touré, highlighting his recent success as a key factor in his appointment.
“Beau Saliou Touré joins the club as head coach after being league 2 champion with Wallydaan FC for the 2023-2024 season. He will report to the Technical Director, Badara Sarr.
The club has full confidence in him to maximize the team’s potential,” the statement read.
Though the club did not specify the duration of the contract, reports suggest that Touré’s tenure is set to last until the end of the current season.
This comes as Teungueth FC finds itself in a challenging position in the league, currently sitting 10th with just 15 points from 13 matches.
Touré’s appointment follows the resignation of former coach Sidate Sarr, who stepped down several weeks ago after a string of disappointing results left the team struggling to find form.
The club will be hoping that Touré can bring the much-needed stability and success to the team for the remainder of the season.
Teungueth FC’s leadership will be looking to the new coach to steer the club away from mid-table obscurity and push for a stronger finish.
