Bayern Munich are working to seal the signing of German defender of Ivorian descent, Jonathan Tah.
As reported already, there is an agreement between the club and the player for him to join the side this summer.
However, for the deal to be completed, Jonathan Tah’s contract with Bayer Leverkusen must expire on June 30.
Unfortunately, Bayern Munich do not have the luxury of waiting for the said date. The German Champions are in dire need of a centre-back to augment their squad for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
The upcoming tournament is scheduled to be played in the United States from June 14 to July 13.
Due to this, Bayern Munich must sign Jonathan Tah in the coming days to have him available for the tournament.
For that to happen, Bayer Leverkusen are demanding one million Euros from Bayern Munich for the early release of their departing captain.
According to sources, there are discussions among Bayern Munich officials to pay the money to complete the signing of Tah.
