Bayern Munich will in the coming days open contract renewal talks with Germany international of Senegalese descent Leroy Sane.
Sane, who joined Bayern Munich in 20202 will see his contract with the German giants expires at the end of the campaign.
The club management are expected to resume talks with the player’s representatives about a new contract. Their aim will be to gauge the player’s willingness to extend his contract with Bayern.
Bayern, who are keen to keep the enterprising winger will offer Sane a contract that will keep him at the club until 2028, with a total salary in the range of 14 to 16 million euros.
Born in Essen, Germany, Sané has deep African roots; his father, Souleymane Sané, is a former Senegalese international footballer, and his mother, Regina Weber, is a German former rhythmic gymnast.
Meanwhile, the 29-year-old has attracted interest from Premier League clubs Liverpool and Arsenal.
This season, Sane has scored 11 goals and provided 5 assists from 41 appearances across competitions for Bayern Munich.
