Bayern Munich interested in signing Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen
German giants Bayern Munich are reportedly considering a move to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen as a replacement for Harry Kane in case the Englishman decides to leave next summer.
Although Kane remains under contract until 2027 and a transfer is considered unlikely, Bayern’s sporting management, led by Max Eberl, is preparing for all eventualities amid growing interest from top European and Saudi Arabian clubs.
Bayern coach Vincent Kompany is said to be a strong admirer of Osimhen’s abilities, noting the striker’s prolific scoring form this season with Galatasaray S.K., where he has netted 17 goals in 25 appearances.
The striker’s athleticism and proven goal-scoring record make him an attractive candidate to lead Bayern’s attack.
Osimhen’s personal circumstances could also facilitate a move, as his girlfriend is German. Furthermore, Bayern is reportedly among the select clubs included in the release clause of his contract in Istanbul, which runs until 2029, potentially easing any negotiations.
With Kane’s future still uncertain, Bayern appear ready to secure a high-calibre replacement, and Osimhen is emerging as a top option for the Bundesliga champions.
