German giants Bayern Munich have expressed interest in England International of Nigerian descent Eberechi Eze as the summer transfer window approaches.
The 26-year-old has become a subject of interest for several clubs across Europe following an outstanding performance for Crystal Palace this season. He was instrumental when his outfit inflicted a narrow win over Manchester City to lift their first major title.
In the Premier League, Eze racked up 8 goals and provided 8 assists in 33 appearances. However, in all competitions, the attacking midfielder scored 14 goals and delivered 11 assists in 42 appearances.
After an unsuccessful attempt to sign Florian Wirtz, the German champions have turned their attention to alternative transfer targets. In addition to Eze, Bayern’s scouts are also monitoring Brighton midfielder Kaoru Mitoma and AC Milan winger Rafael Leão.
The 26-year-old’s release clause will become active at the end of the season and is expected to be set at £60 million plus £8 million in bonuses. Palace enjoy a good relationship with Bayern after selling Olise for £50.8 million during last summer’s transfer window.
Meanwhile, Eze’s current contract with the Eagles is expected to elapse in summer 2027.
