Bayern Munich give Leroy Sane a 10-day ultimatum to decide his future at the club
Bayern Munich have reportedly given German forward of Senegalese descent Leroy Sane a 10-day ultimatum to decide his future at the club.
This comes after protracted contract talks that have lasted months without an agreement.
According to sources, Bayern are refusing to improve their current offer for the attacker. Despite a recent change in representation by the 29-year-old, the club’s stance remains firm.
Sources indicate that a draft contract was recently prepared and is ready for signing. However, Sane is said to have requested additional financial incentives. The attacker wants a signing bonus and other bonuses that would be triggered based on performance.
The club has now made its position clear that Leroy Sane has ten days to accept or reject the existing offer. The terms on the table include a three-year deal with a fixed annual salary of €10 million, plus up to €5 million in potential bonuses. The deal, however, does not include a signing bonus.
Bayern Munich are reportedly ready to withdraw their offer and consider bringing in a new player to replace Leroy Sane if the player fails to accept the current offer.
