Recent claims suggesting that Bayern Munich has approached the Royal Moroccan Football Federation to retrieve player Nacer Mazraoui for further treatment in Germany have been firmly denied by reliable sources, according to statements made to “Hesport.”
The same sources clarified that Mazraoui continues his rehabilitation process under the supervision of the medical staff of the Moroccan national team in Ivory Coast.
This aligns with the pre-established program agreed upon with Bayern Munich’s medical team.
In a press conference preceding the match against the Democratic Republic of the Congo, national coach Walid El Rakkaki informed “Hesport” that Mazraoui might participate in the third match against Zambia or in the Round of 16, or he might not feature in the tournament at all.
El Rakkaki explained that Mazraoui’s recovery pace was affected by a sudden cold, and he is continuing his treatment under the supervision of the Moroccan national team’s medical staff.
He emphasized that he takes responsibility for including him in the squad while still recovering.
In the previous two matches against Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Mohamed El Shibi replaced Nacer Mazraoui in the lineup for the Moroccan national team.
