Arsenal prepared to launch €100m bid for AC Milan star Rafael Leão

Bayern Munich and Liverpool have emerged as frontrunners in the race to sign AC Milan forward Rafael Leao amid growing speculation over the player’s future.

According to reports from TMW, both clubs have been spurred on by indications that the Portuguese-Angolan is unsettled at Milan and may be open to a transfer this summer.

Interest in the 25-year-old attacker is not limited to Europe. Top Saudi Pro League clubs, including Al-Hilal, Al Nassr, and Al-Ittihad, have also expressed strong desire to secure his signature, adding a new dimension to the transfer saga.

These clubs have reportedly made lucrative offers, with financial packages far exceeding what Leao currently earns.

Bayern Munich have already made contact, with a meeting between the German champions and Leao’s representatives taking place in recent days, signaling serious intent to pursue the player.

Liverpool, meanwhile, are also in the mix and have been informed by Milan that the club would demand a hefty transfer fee of around €130 million to release the forward.

Leao’s current contract with AC Milan reportedly pays him €6.5 million per year. This contrasts sharply with the Saudi offers, which reportedly propose an annual salary of €25 million, highlighting the financial allure the Middle Eastern clubs hold.

The coming weeks are expected to be decisive in determining Leao’s next destination as Bayern Munich and Liverpool prepare their bids, while Milan weighs the financial and sporting implications of potentially losing one of their key attackers.
