Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes has confirmed that Nigerian striker Victor Boniface will not be leaving for Al Nassr, putting an end to speculation over a potential transfer.

“There have been talks, but we are happy that he will be training with us today.

I assume that he will stay,” Rolfes stated.

Boniface, who has been a key figure for Leverkusen this season, remains committed to the Bundesliga leaders.

“He feels comfortable here, his attitude towards the club is unchanged,” Rolfes added.

With the winter transfer window closing soon, Leverkusen can now focus on their title challenge with Boniface expected to play a crucial role in their campaign.
