It seems that tensions ran high during today’s training session in Bastia. According to reports from the France Football website, there was a significant altercation between midfielder Sambou Yatabaré and defender Julien Palmieri following a clash during a practice match.
Initially calmed down, Yatabaré reignited the confrontation and attempted to come to blows with Palmieri. Djibril Cissé, another player, intervened to try and diffuse the situation but ended up getting into a fight with Yatabaré as well. Eventually, coach Frédéric Hantz intervened and escorted Cissé back to the locker room.
It is likely that the players involved will face sanctions from the club for their actions.
