Djibril Cissé’s performance since joining Bastia has been disappointing, despite the club’s support. The French striker, of Ivorian origin, acknowledges the challenges he has faced since his arrival on the Isle of Beauty. However, he remains committed to the team and does not intend to leave Corsica this summer.
Cissé expressed his thoughts to France Football, stating, “I’ve been here for two months. I thought it would be simpler. I hoped for better, but it’s okay. I am calm. At thirty-two years old, I am able to step back and think about the team before my personal case. I’m not at the top, but the team is doing well. So much the better. My future? I am under contract until June 2015. I will continue to work, give everything and honor my contract until the end.”
