Former Zamalek star Bashir El Taabi’i has emphasized that winning a championship with Zamalek is equivalent to winning 100 titles with any other club.
In televised statements, Bashir El Taabi’i stated, “Winning a championship with Zamalek is equal to winning 100 titles with any other club, due to the obstacles faced by the players.”
He added, “Players who secured three league titles with Zamalek should have statues made for them because there was no money, no clothing, and no media support.
We were fighting against the Football Association.”
When asked about the reasons for his desire to transfer in 2007, he said, “Al Ahly was chasing after me, and I signed contracts to join the Red Castle because Zamalek fulfilled its promises to me, and I returned to the club.”
Bashir El Taabi’i’s remarks shed light on the challenges and difficulties faced by players at Zamalek during his time, emphasizing the club’s significance in their lives.
His comparison, stating that winning with Zamalek carries a weight equivalent to 100 titles elsewhere, reflects the unique and demanding environment the players experienced at the club.
This perspective provides insight into the dedication and loyalty of players to Zamalek, illustrating the deep bond formed during their careers with the White Knights.
