Barcelona not actively looking to sell Alejandro Balde

Barcelona are not currently looking to offload Alejandro Balde this summer, despite mounting speculation and growing interest from the Premier League.

Fabrizio Romano reports that, while rumours have linked the 22-year-old with a move to England, the club has not instructed his camp to seek a transfer.

Earlier suggestions claimed Barcelona might sacrifice Balde to help secure Joao Cancelo on a permanent deal. However, the Catalans still see the La Masia graduate as a valuable long-term piece of the squad and believe he can develop further under Hansi Flick.

That stance does not mean the situation is entirely closed. Barcelona are prepared to listen if a major offer lands on the table during the summer window, reflecting both their financial reality and the level of interest in the left-back.

Top Premier League clubs, including Manchester City and Manchester United, have already made enquiries about Balde’s availability. For now, though, it would take a substantial bid to tempt Barcelona into changing their mind on a player still considered one of their brightest young assets.
