Barcelona attacker Lamine Yamal believes they can all the way to clinch a treble trophy season.
The Spanish giants will host German side, Borussia Dortmund, in the first leg of the Champions League tonight at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys with kick off scheduled at 19:00 GMT.
Barcelona sit top of the La Liga with 67 points and have already booked their place in the final of the Copa del Rey.
“I am one of those who always trusts their team,” the 17-year-old, who is of a Moroccan and Equatorial Guinean heritage told ESPN.
“Since the beginning of the season, I have always aspired to win everything. We could win the treble. You have to believe in yourself, because if you say another team is going to win, why would you even go on the field?” he continued.
“So yes, we can win the treble, we are Barcelona, we have achieved it before in 2009 and 2015, and we hope to try and achieve it again”. Yamal also spoke about where he sees himself in the future, insisting that it is something he is not worried about given his young age.
“I don’t feel the pressure, I only try to enjoy myself,” he revealed. “I’m playing for Barca and that’s the only thing that matters, I simply want to enjoy that. Where do I see myself in ten years? I will be 27. My day-to-day routine will probably look similar. Train, then go home and so on.”
A win against Dortmund will see Barcelona playing against Bayern Munich or Inter Milan in the semifinals.
