The representative of Lamine Yamal Jorge Mendes has agreed to the contract offer presented by Barcelona for the teenager.
According to sources, the new improved deal will be signed when Yamal turns 18 years old on July 13.
The Spain forward of Moroccan descent’s current deal runs until 2026, with an automatic extension until 2028.
However, due to his rapid rise and growing significance to the team, both the club and his agent have been working behind the scenes to secure improved terms that reflect his status.
According to sources, the new agreement will extend Lamine Yamal’s stay at Barcelona until June 2030. The revised deal includes a salary increase and an updated release clause that aligns with his growing influence within the squad.
The report further notes that the changes were mutually agreed upon due to the player’s exceptional development.
While the salary hike must remain within the club’s current financial limits, any additional costs that exceed this season’s budget will be carried over into the next.
Yamal is expected to be a key man for Barcelona later tonight when the team takes on Inter Milan in the second leg of their semi-final tie in the UEFA Champions League.
