Michael Ballack has invited Didier Drogba to participate in his farewell match on June 5, 2013. The jubilee match will feature Ballack’s eleven against a world selection at the Red-Bull Arena in Leipzig. The event aims to raise funds for charity. Ballack has also extended invitations to figures like José Mourinho, coach of Real Madrid, as well as former Chelsea teammates Franck Lampard and Ashley Cole. The German selection will include internationals Bastian Schweinsteiger, Mesut Özil, and René Adler. Ballack, aged 36, retired from professional football in early October.
