Badr Gaddarine joins free-agent ranks after Ittihad Tanger departure

Morocco left-back Badr Gaddarine has joined the ranks of unattached players after leaving Ittihad Tanger.

The 28-year-old defender’s departure was completed on 31 August 2026, ending his spell with the Botola Pro Inwi club. Gaddarine now has no club and is available following his exit from the Tanger-based side.

Gaddarine made his name in Moroccan football with Wydad Casablanca, where he came through the under-19 system before progressing to the senior team. He later spent time with Mouloudia before returning to Wydad in January 2024.

The left-footed full-back has recorded 139 appearances in the Botola Pro Inwi, contributing six goals and nine assists. He has also played 38 matches in the CAF Champions League, scoring once and providing one assist, while making a further eight appearances in the Moroccan Throne Cup.

His honours include four Moroccan league titles with Wydad, won in the 2016-17, 2018-19, 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons. He also helped the Casablanca club claim two CAF Champions League trophies, in 2016-17 and 2021-22, as well as the CAF Super Cup in 2017-18.

Gaddarine’s most recent move before his Ittihad Tanger spell came when he joined the club in January 2025 after a period without a team. He had previously left Wydad in August 2024 before returning to the professional game with Mouloudia.

Born in Casablanca, Gaddarine stands 1.78m tall and has spent the majority of his senior career in Morocco’s domestic league and continental competitions. His departure leaves his next destination open as he enters the next stage of his career.

Badr Gaddarine has completed his move away from Ittihad Tanger and is now without a club.
