Bachir Belloumi’s market value soars as Hull City and Algeria form drive rise

Bachir Belloumi’s growing influence for Hull City and Algeria has seen his estimated market value rise from 6.5m euros to 18m euros, according to the latest figures from Transfermarkt.

The 24-year-old Algeria winger has increased his valuation by 11.5m euros, with a sharp improvement in his performances, greater involvement with the Fennecs and an emerging role in the national team all contributing to the rise.

Greater impact in front of goal

Belloumi has become increasingly decisive for Hull City in recent weeks.

He scored twice in a 2-2 draw against Chelsea before setting up a goal in the 2-1 victory over Newcastle. Across his past five appearances for club and country, he has recorded four goals and one assist.

That return represents an important development in his game. Belloumi is no longer being judged only on his ability to beat opponents with the ball. His direct contribution to results has also become a defining part of his profile, increasing his appeal to potential suitors.

International performances add to his profile

Belloumi’s progress with Algeria has further strengthened his standing.

He made his first appearance for the national side against Zambia without scoring, but soon found the net against Burundi. He then followed that up with a goal against Niger, producing an excellent free-kick after coming on as a substitute for the injured Ibrahim Maza.

His strike against Niger helped Algeria draw level and underlined his ability to make an immediate impact after entering a match.

Performances of that kind have increased Belloumi’s visibility beyond club football. Producing consistently for both Hull City and Algeria is particularly valuable for a 24-year-old whose market value is being reassessed.

A changing role with Algeria

Belloumi has also benefited from a shift in his status with the Fennecs. For some time, he had operated behind several other attacking players in the national-team pecking order, but he is now becoming more involved in Algeria’s plans.

The arrival of Brahim Hemdani as manager appears to have created a fresh opportunity for Belloumi to establish himself.

His figures this season reflect that progress. He has scored two goals and provided two assists in six matches for Hull City, while adding two goals in three appearances for Algeria.

The combination of his club form, increased international influence and improved standing has helped push his valuation close to three times its previous level in just a few months. With further room for development, Belloumi’s value could continue to change as the next transfer windows approach.

Hull City’s next fixture is their sixth match of the English league season, against Everton.
