Babelsberg 03 strengthen defence with Benin-German centre-back Amiro Amadou
Benin-German defender Amiro Amadou has joined Babelsberg 03 from BFC Dynamo on a free transfer, giving the Regionalliga Northeast club a new option at centre-back. The 24-year-old has signed a contract running until 30 June 2027.
Amadou moves across the Regionalliga Northeast after two seasons with BFC Dynamo, where he arrived from Regensburg II in July 2024, also on a free transfer. His switch to Babelsberg was completed on 31 August 2026.
Standing 1.94m tall and naturally right-footed, Amadou plays in central defence. His career record in the Regionalliga Northeast includes 45 appearances, one goal and one assist, while he has also featured in Germany’s lower divisions, including the Bayernliga Nord and Regionalliga Nord.
The defender was part of the BFC Dynamo side that won the Berlin Cup in the 2024-25 season. That success provided the first senior honour of his career and came during his spell with the club he now leaves for Babelsberg.
Amadou began his football development in Germany, moving from Vaihingen’s youth setup to Stuttgart’s academy before joining Erzgebirge Aue at under-17 level. He subsequently spent time with VfR Aalen and Kickers Offenbach at youth level before progressing into senior football with SSV Ulm’s under-19 side.
His first senior move took him to FC Oberneuland in August 2021. He later joined Germania Halberstadt in July 2022 and then moved to Regensburg II in January 2023, establishing a path through the German regional divisions before signing for BFC Dynamo.
Babelsberg’s new recruit now returns to a familiar competitive level with a contract that keeps him at the club through the end of June 2027. Amiro Amadou’s free transfer from BFC Dynamo was completed on 31 August 2026.
