Ayoub Hefiane: Morocco forward starts new Apice spell after Ebolitana exit

Morocco centre-forward Ayoub Hefiane has joined Apice from Ebolitana on a free transfer, completing his latest move in Italian football at the age of 24.

Hefiane has signed a contract with Apice running until 30 June 2027. The move was completed on 29 August 2026, with the forward joining a club whose senior side is known as USD Apice Calcio 1964.

The 1.84m striker spent the previous season with Ebolitana after arriving from Buccino Volcei in August 2025, also on a free transfer. He now moves on after one campaign at the club and begins the 2026-27 season with Apice.

Hefiane is listed as a centre-forward and is comfortable using either foot. His arrival gives Apice an attacking player with experience of moving between clubs in Italy’s lower divisions, although his current Apice record remains at zero appearances in the Coppa Italia Serie D.

The switch continues a sequence of free transfers that has taken Hefiane through several Italian clubs. Before joining Ebolitana, he played for Buccino Volcei, having previously moved there from Alto Casertano in July 2024. His time at Alto Casertano followed a spell with San Luca, while he had earlier represented Nola and Matese.

Hefiane joined Nola from a period without a club in August 2022, before switching to San Luca later that year. He had also been without a club before that move, following his departure from Matese in November 2021. His first move into the senior clubs recorded in his career came from Casertana Youth to Matese in August 2021.

The 2026-27 campaign is therefore another step in Hefiane’s run through the Italian football system. Apice becomes his latest destination after spells with Ebolitana, Buccino Volcei, Alto Casertano, San Luca, Nola and Matese.

Hefiane, who was born on 22 January 2002 and holds Moroccan nationality, is now under contract at Apice through the end of June 2027. The completed free transfer from Ebolitana was registered on 29 August 2026.
