Ivory Coast attacking midfielder Hamed Junior Traore has reflected on his loan move to AJ Auxerre in the French Ligue 1.
The 25-year-old joined Auxerre at the beginning of the season from AFC Bournemouth, signing a season-long loan deal with the club.
Since joining Auxerre, Traore has established himself as a key member of the team, playing a prominent role in Christophe Pélissier’s side.
“Auxerre gave me the joy of playing football again,” began the forward. When he joined the French side on loan, he did so without a purchase option being included in the deal. However, is there a chance of him remaining at the Ligue 1 side beyond the end of the season?
“It (the season he has had) makes you want to stay but at the minute, we are not speaking about that. We are talking about how to finish the season well,” said Traoré.
The attacking midfielder has made 22 appearances for Auxerre, scoring 10 goals and providing 2 assists in the Ligue 1.
