Aurélien Tchouameni isn’t buying the narrative around Kylian Mbappé’s so-called “difficult days.”
The Real Madrid star ended a rare three-game goal drought on March 9, scoring in a win against Rayo Vallecano. But for Tchouameni, the discussion around Mbappé’s form never made sense in the first place.
“I am surprised by the discussions around the ‘difficult days of Mbappé.’ Is it because he did not score in two consecutive games?
“We all know that if tomorrow he scores one or two goals, everyone will talk about him as an ‘incredible player.’
“For us, professionals, the most important thing is the next game. Kylian does not need advice, he has scored many goals and will score even more.
“Kylian wants to win and score in each match, he does not need additional motivation. He always wants to play at best, no matter the opponent,” said the Real Madrid midfielder ahead of their Champions League showdown with Atlético.
With unwavering confidence in his teammate, Tchouameni made it clear Kylian Mbappé’s quality isn’t up for debate.
