Augsburg consider move for German-Nigerian winger Noah Ajayi

German-Nigerian teenager Noah Ajayi, who plays for Manchester United Under-18s, has been linked with a move to Bundesliga club Augsburg.

The 17-year-old left winger joined United’s Under-18 side from the club’s youth team in July 2025 and is under contract until 30 June 2027. The reported interest comes with Ajayi yet to make an appearance for United in the 2026-27 Under-18 Premier League campaign, having not featured in either of the side’s two possible matches so far.

Ajayi’s potential move would represent a switch from the Under-18 Premier League to Germany’s top flight, although there is no indication that a transfer has been agreed. The interest remains at the rumour stage and no fee or probability has been established.

Born in Hamburg, Ajayi is eligible to represent both Germany and Nigeria. He has spent his recent development within Manchester United’s academy structure, moving into the Under-18 group at the start of last season.

A move to Augsburg would therefore come while Ajayi remains a contracted United player, with two years left on his current deal. For now, he continues to be listed as part of Manchester United’s Under-18 squad, while Augsburg’s reported interest has yet to develop into a confirmed approach or agreement.
