Aston Villa have set sights on securing the services of Franco-Congolese defender Alex Disasi on a permanent following an impressive loan spell.
Disasi struggled at the beginning of the season at Chelsea and had to be farmed out on loan at Aston Villa. Since joining the club, the 27-year-old has made 13 appearances in the Premier League, scoring one goal in the process.
The enterprising defender joined Aston Villa on loan during the January transfer and has performed admirably for the club.
According to reports, Aston Villa are impressed with the performance of Disasi and have set sights on securing his signature permanently. However, the Frenchman is also garnering interest from other Premier League clubs.
The Birmingham-based club are clear in their intentions to retain the former AS Monaco defender. Having reiterated desire to secure Disasi on a permanent deal, Aston Villa are said to have open talks for permanent acquisition of the defender this summer.
Aston Villa have initially contacted the player’s camp for the permanent signing of Disasi and will in the coming days engage his parent club, Chelsea over a possible signing of the player.
His current deal with Chelsea is expected to expire in the summer of 2029.
