Aston Villa Ready to Triple Jordan Amavi’s Salary to Secure Transfer
Aston Villa is not backing down in its pursuit of Jordan Amavi. Despite the young defender’s preference to remain at OGC Nice for another season, the Premier League club remains determined to land him.
Villa manager Tim Sherwood is keen to strengthen the left-back position and sees the 21-year-old French U21 international—who was one of Ligue 1’s standout players last season—as the perfect fit. To entice him, the Birmingham-based club is reportedly offering to triple his current salary at Nice.
This lucrative proposal could be enough to sway Amavi’s decision and fend off Olympique Lyonnais, who have also shown strong interest in the Togolese-born defender in recent weeks.
The key question now is whether OGC Nice will agree to let go of one of their brightest talents from last season.
