Aston Villa have made their move for Chelsea defender Axel Disasi, with a loan offer now on the table, according to L’Équipe’s Loïc Tanzi.
The 26-year-old French international is eager to leave Stamford Bridge this winter, with both Chelsea and Disasi reportedly agreeing on a temporary departure until the end of the season.
Villa’s offer is a paid loan with no obligation to make the move permanent. Despite other Premier League clubs, including Wolverhampton Wanderers, showing interest, Disasi has set his sights on a switch to Villa Park. Fabrizio Romano confirmed earlier this week that the Frenchman has made his decision, opting for Villa over other suitors.
Disasi, who joined Chelsea from AS Monaco in a €45m deal last summer, has a contract with the Blues until 2029. Following key discussions with Villa manager Unai Emery, the defender is poised to secure a move to the Midlands, with talks between the clubs advancing.
