Premier League outfit Aston Villa have expressed keen interest in signing Spain-born Nigerian forward Samu Omorodion Aghehowa.
The 20-year-old, who marked his debut for the Spain national team in November 2024 has been impressive for Porto in the ongoing campaign, scoring 18 goals and providing three 3 assists from 29 matches across competitions.
His outstanding performance has caught the attention of several clubs including Aston Villa, who are in search of a replacement for Jhon Duran following his departure to Al Nassr in the January transfer window.
Omorodion joined Porto last summer from Atletico Madrid and has since established himself as key cog to the team, racking up crucial goals for the club.
His release clause with Porto is set at €100m. In addition, Atletico Madrid holds 50% of his transfer rights – compared to the €15m initially paid by Porto.
Porto, for its part, has the option to acquire a further 15% of the player’s economic rights by July 2025 for €5 million, and another 15% by July 2026 for an additional €5 million.
