Aston Villa eye PSG winger Ibrahim Mbaye in Premier League move

Ibrahim Mbaye, the Senegalese-French right winger currently with Paris Saint-Germain, is being linked with a move to Premier League side Aston Villa.

The 18-year-old, who wears No 49 for PSG, has emerged as one of the most highly rated attacking prospects in the French champions set-up, with his market value rising to 30m as of March 2026.

Born in Trappes on 24 January 2008, Mbaye is a right-footed wide forward standing at 1.75m and operating primarily on the right flank, a profile that would fit Villas preference for quick, direct attackers in wide areas.

Mbaye has come through PSGs system in rapid fashion, stepping up from the U17s to the U19s in early 2024 before progressing to the Espoirs and then the first team in July 2025, underlining the speed of his development in Paris.

He has remained within the PSG structure since leaving FC Versailles 78s youth ranks in 2018, and his elevation to the senior squad has coincided with sharp increases in his valuation, rising from 2m in late 2024 to 25m by December 2025 before reaching its current level.

The discussions around Mbaye come with his contractual terms at PSG not publicly detailed, and there is no indication that an agreement has been reached between the clubs.

For now, Aston Villas interest in Mbaye remains a rumour, with the winger still on the books at PSG and no deal in place.
