Al Ahly is still grappling with the ongoing situation surrounding Ashraf Dari, who has been excluded from the club’s plans for the near future.

The Reds recently removed Dari from both their domestic and African competition lists to make room for his fellow Moroccan, Youssef Belamri, who joined from Raja Casablanca.

Al Ahly’s foreign player quota, now full at five—Youssef Belamri, Aliou Dieng, Ashraf Bencharki, Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane, and Yeltsin Camoish—left no space for Dari in the squad.

According to reports, discussions between Al Ahly and Dari aimed at resolving the situation amicably remain at a standstill.

The club has intensified negotiations in recent hours, including talks on Wednesday morning, but Dari is reportedly insisting on receiving the full value of his contract, rejecting any alternative solutions.

The reports add that Dari is particularly frustrated after learning his name had been removed from the team list without prior notice, further complicating attempts to reach an agreement.

Dari joined Al Ahly in the summer of 2024 from Stade Brestois in France. His time with the Reds has been hampered by injuries, limiting him to 26 appearances without recording a goal or assist.
