In a recent video update shared on Jaraaf’s official YouTube channel, “Jaraaf TV,” Cheikh Sidy Ba, the Sports Director of ASC Jaraaf, disclosed the club’s decision to part ways with Mouhamed Wellé, a pivotal figure in their triumph at the 2023 Senegal Cup. The announcement was made on February 20, shedding light on the current status of the team as they reflect on the first part of the season.
Addressing the club’s supporters, Cheikh Sidy Ba conveyed, “For the moment, there are no new arrivals in the Jaraaf squad, but we have recorded two departures.
They are Ibrahima Bangoura and Mouhamed Wellé. We talked with them and decided amicably that separating is the best solution.
The Jaraaf wishes them good luck and we pray that they find better than Jaraaf. Football is like that, some arrive and others leave.”
Mouhamed Wellé, notably celebrated for his decisive double in the 2023 Senegal Cup final against Stade de Mbour, had not featured in any match this season, accounting for a departure from a total of 1170 possible playing minutes.
Despite his departure, the club recognizes his significant contribution to their success and wishes him well in his future endeavors.
As for Ibrahima Bangoura, the departing teammate of Mouhamed Wellé, he has chosen to join Teungueth FC, marking a new chapter in his football journey.
The separation, described as amicable, reflects the fluid nature of football dynamics, where players transition between clubs.
Jaraaf supporters and football enthusiasts will undoubtedly keep an eye on the paths taken by Mouhamed Wellé and Ibrahima Bangoura, anticipating their continued contributions to the sport.
