Abdeslam Ouaddou, the newly appointed head of AS Vita Club, shared insights into his mission at the helm of the Black Dolphins.

With a storied career as a former captain of the Atlas Lions and an extensive coaching background, Ouaddou expressed his honor and pride in being chosen to lead AS Vita Club, a club deeply ingrained in the Congolese football heritage.

Ouaddou emphasized the significance of AS Vita Club, boasting a massive fan base of over 20 million in the country and across the globe.

He underscored the club’s potential as a powerhouse and outlined an ambitious project that aims to revitalize and modernize the institution.

“My project presented during several meetings… is the establishment of an ultra-organized, competent, and professional club administration, worthy of the biggest clubs in the world,” Ouaddou stated.

He detailed plans for a state-of-the-art training center, gender-inclusive facilities, and the construction of a club-owned stadium.

The project also includes the creation of a Vita Club foundation, contributing to social causes and commemorating the club’s history through a museum.

In addressing the club’s immediate objectives, Ouaddou asserted, “We want to quickly qualify for an African competition, and next season play for the title, but we must already pay off debts and create an environment favorable to the training of players and the work of the staff.”

He articulated a holistic vision with short, medium, and long-term goals, aiming to solidify Vita Club’s standing among the football elite.

Drawing inspiration from legendary figures like Arsène Wenger, Ouaddou expressed his dream and ambition to become the “Black Arsène Wenger of Africa.”

He acknowledged the vital role of supporters, urging them to fill the stadium and create an impregnable atmosphere for both the team and the game.

Reflecting on his coaching journey, Ouaddou highlighted his commitment to continuous learning, acquiring multiple diplomas, including UEFA B, UEFA A, UEFA PRO, and a Master in Professional Club Management.

With coaching experience at ASNL, the national team with Djamel Belmadi, and success at Loto Popo, Ouaddou brings a wealth of expertise to AS Vita Club.

In conclusion, Ouaddou assured supporters of his tireless dedication, seeking their patience and support for the implementation of an ambitious strategy.

“We ask them for patience to put together this entire ambitious strategy because Rome was not built in a day,” he remarked, signifying the collective effort needed to elevate AS Vita Club to new heights.
