AS Roma have officially completed the signing of Moroccan midfielder Neil El Aynaoui on a long-term deal running until 2030.
The 22-year-old makes the move from French outfit RC Lens, with the transfer reportedly valued at €25 million.
El Aynaoui joined Lens from Nancy in 2023 for just €600,000, meaning the Ligue 1 side secure a substantial profit from his sale.
His former club Nancy will also benefit, receiving €2.3 million thanks to a 10% sell-on clause included in the previous transfer agreement.
Over the course of his career so far, El Aynaoui has made 130 appearances in both league and cup competitions, netting 17 goals. Born in France to Moroccan heritage, he is the son of former professional tennis star Younes El Aynaoui.
The midfielder is set to join up with the Roma squad immediately after successfully completing his medical.
Meanwhile, Roma are also on the verge of unveiling Brighton striker Evan Ferguson as part of their preparations for the upcoming season.
