AS Monaco have confirmed the acquisition of Ivorian teenage sensation Oumar Konaté in the ongoing summer transfer window.

Hailing from Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, Oumar Konaté joins the Red & White from Sol FC d’Abobo, the club where he developed his skills. He made several appearances for their first team in the Ivorian top flight, scoring one goal.

Having concluded a move to the French giants, Konate is expected to join the senior team for preseason as they gear up for the 2025/26 football campaign.

Konaté was picked as part of the Côte d’Ivoire U20 squad that competed in the 2024 Maurice-Revello Tournament, and even provided an assist during his nation’s match against France, and scored against Mexico.

The Ivorian prospect is one of the three teenagers who have joined Monaco ahead of the new season. The is expected to continue his development at the club.
