French Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco have rejected a bid from Bayer Leverkusen for Moroccan youngster Eliesse Ben Seghir.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Leverkusen recently submitted an opening bid for the 20-year-old, but Monaco turned it down.
According to him, talks are ongoing, with a new offer expected in the coming days.
Meanwhile, Dortmund have also been alerted to the player’s availability, with the club making inquiries about his situation within the last 24 hours.
Ben Seghir, valued at around €28 million, is a versatile attacker who can operate on the left wing, as a central playmaker, or even up front.
During the 2024/25 season, he made 46 competitive appearances for Monaco, contributing nine goals and four assists.
The competition between Leverkusen and Dortmund sets up a potential Bundesliga battle for one of Morocco’s most promising young talents.
The club that is able to meet the demands of the French club will win the race for the youngster.
