French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco are reportedly in advanced talks with French midfielder of Guinean descent Paul Pogba.
The club, according to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, is keen on signing the former Manchester United star this summer.
Pogba is now eligible to resume his professional career after serving a reduced ban for a doping violation.
Although he has been cleared to train since January and compete since March, the midfielder has opted to wait until the summer to decide on his next move. He has previously expressed a willingness to return to Ligue 1.
While Marseille were once heavily linked to the Frenchman, financial constraints reportedly prevented them from meeting his wage demands.
This opened the door for Monaco, who are now favourites to secure his signature, according to Foot Mercato.
The Principality club have already strengthened their squad with the addition of former Bayern Munich and Tottenham defender Eric Dier, and are also pursuing Sergio Reguilón as part of their summer rebuild.
Pogba is excited by the move and wants to make it happen, provided all parties can agree on a deal.
