French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco have announced the loan transfer of left-back Valy Konaté to Cercle Brugge for the 2025-2026 season.
The defender signed for AS Monaco last January as an 18-year-old.
Since he arrived at AS Monaco, Valy Konaté has contributed to the Academy’s positive results, whether in the U19 Championship, where he participated in the good second half of the season for the players managed by Frédéric Barilaro, or with the Elite Group, taking part in the team’s journey to the final of the FFF Espoirs Challenge.
The Ivorian U23 international joins the ranks of Cercle Bruges, a cousin club of the Principality club, playing in the Jupiler Pro League.
The talented teenager plays for the Ivory Coast U23s, where he notably wore the captain’s armband in a match against Iraq.
Last year, Valy Konaté distinguished himself during the 2024 Maurice-Revello Tournament, taking part in the Ivorian national team’s fine performance, which reached the final against Ukraine.
At Cercle Brugge, AS Monaco expects that Valy Konaté will have the chance to play regularly to help with his development.
