The CEO of AS Monaco, Thiago Scuro, has admonished Moroccan youngster Eliesse Ben Seghir to stay at the club amid interest from Manchester City.
Eliesse Ben Seghir, 20, is a transfer target of several European giants heading into the summer transfer window.
The midfielder had his breakthrough in the AS Monaco first team in the 2024/25 football campaign and took it well.
He not only impressed in the French Ligue 1 campaign but also did well in the UEFA Champions League.
Due to his impressive performances, Eliesse Ben Seghir has been linked with a move to clubs such as Manchester City, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain.
Amid the interest, AS Monaco CEO Thiago Scuro has urged the player to consider staying. He believes the player is at the right club to develop to the next level.
“Eliesse is under contract. In my opinion, he has all the conditions to be more consistent [going forward]. The best thing for him is to stay in Monaco for next step. He is not at same stage as Maghnes […] the path is here,” said Monaco’s CEO in an interview.
