French Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco has confirmed the departure of Libyan midfielder Moatasem Al-Musrati.
In an official statement to bid farewell to the player at the end of his loan spell, the French club said, “AS Monaco wishes to thank the Libyan international midfielder, who arrived in January, and whose loan expires at the end of the 2024-2025 season.”
During his loan spell with AS Monaco, Moatasem Al-Musrati scored a crucial goal in the win in Saint-Étienne on Matchday 32 in Ligue 1.
The goal helped the Ligue 1 outfit to finish strongly to secure qualification to play in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
In a show of appreciation, AS Monaco CEO Thiago Scuro said, “Moatasem helped us a lot, and he probably scored one of the most important goals of the season. I would like to publicly thank him for the person he is, for his professionalism and maturity, because he has given us a lot.”
