Moroccan club AS FAR has declined a substantial €3 million offer, plus performance-related bonuses, from Russian side FC Krasnodar for their star midfielder Amin Zahzouh.
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder also turned down the move, especially after earning his first call-up to the Moroccan national team.
Head coach Walid Regragui recently invited Zahzouh to join the Atlas Lions for upcoming friendlies against Tunisia and Benin.
Zahzouh’s decision to remain with AS FAR was further influenced by the passionate support of the club’s fanbase, particularly as the team gears up for next season’s CAF Champions League campaign.
This marks the second time AS FAR has refused a transfer offer for Zahzouh, having previously rebuffed an approach from French club Olympique Lyon.
In the 2024/25 Botola Pro League season, Zahzouh delivered an impressive performance, making 28 appearances, scoring six goals, and providing 13 assists.
