The head coach of AS FAR Rabat, Alexandre Santos, is under pressure to guide his team to achieve the unthinkable against Pyramids FC next weekend or face the sack.
The gaffer was with the Moroccan outfit on Tuesday when the team lost 4-1 to Pyramids FC in the first leg of their tie in the CAF Champions League quarter-final.
Sources have since revealed that officials of AS FAR Rabat are unhappy with the result.
The coach was hired with the task of guiding AS FAR Rabat to reach the CAF Champions League semi-final and at least finish second in the Moroccan league while winning the Throne Cup.
However, after the heavy defeat to Pyramids FC in the CAF Champions League quarter-final first leg, reaching the semi-final looks almost impossible.
Ahead of the reverse fixture next week, coach Alexandre Santos is under pressure to create magic for his team to overturn the result from the first meeting or risk being sacked.
The second leg encounter between AS FAR Rabat and Pyramids FC will be played on Tuesday, April 8. The match will kick off at 9 pm at d’Honneur in Meknes
