Arthur Atta: Galatasaray linked with move for Udinese midfielder

Galatasaray are being linked with a move for Udinese central midfielder Arthur Atta, with the 23-year-old France-Benin player reportedly on the Turkish champions’ radar.

The Serie A midfielder, who wears No 14 for Udinese, is the subject of transfer speculation suggesting a switch from Italy to the Süper Lig, with the probability of the deal currently listed as unknown (“?”). Atta’s current market value is put at €15.00m, a figure that is expected to frame any negotiations between the clubs if talks progress.

There is no public information on when his Udinese contract is due to expire, which leaves open the possibility of the player running his deal down in future and becoming a free agent. However, any move at this stage is understood to be at the rumour stage rather than an advanced transfer.

Atta, born on 14 January 2003 in Rennes, stands at 1.89m and operates primarily as a central midfielder, playing off his right foot. Eligible for both France and Benin, his dual nationality adds to his profile, with clubs often attracted by players who can represent more than one national team.

The Udinese man has been featuring in Serie A this season, with his performances in Italy helping push his valuation into the mid-range European market bracket. Detailed contract terms, including his date of arrival in Udine and end of deal, have not been disclosed, adding a layer of uncertainty around how much leverage Udinese could have in any future talks.

If a move to Istanbul were to materialise, a transfer to Galatasaray would mark a significant step in Atta’s career, offering him a new platform in European competition and the chance to enhance his reputation on a different stage.
