Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has provided an optimistic update on the recovery of Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey, stating that the player is making significant progress and is expected to rejoin the squad in the coming weeks.
Thomas Partey, who suffered a setback just as he was on the verge of returning to action, has been in rehabilitation following a relapse a few weeks ago. Arteta, however, assured fans that the setback is not a major one and that Partey’s recovery is on track.
Speaking on the midfielder’s condition, Arteta said, “There are no big setbacks. Thomas Partey is progressing really well.” The reassurance from the Arsenal coach indicates that the Ghanaian international is on the right path towards a full recovery.
After months of absence due to injury, Partey’s return will be a welcome boost for the team. Arteta highlighted the positive signs in Partey’s rehabilitation, emphasizing that he is already back on the pitch and engaging in mobility exercises.
“It looks very good, and he’s already on the pitch. Partey will return to action in the coming weeks,” added Arteta.
Thomas Partey has been sidelined since November 2023 due to injury, causing him to miss the African Cup of Nations held in Ivory Coast.
As the midfielder progresses in his recovery, Arsenal fans can anticipate his imminent return to the playing squad, adding depth and quality to Arteta’s midfield options.
