Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has noted that he does not doubt the ability of attacker Bukayo Saka despite his long absence due to injury.
Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s encounter against Fulham in the English Premier League on Tuesday, Arteta backed Saka to make an immediate impact after returning from his injury.
“Especially to get rustiness out of your head. You haven’t played for three months, but you’ve played for the last 48 months, so three in 48 is a very small percentage.
“I haven’t done the housekeeping duties for a week, but I’ve done it for 10 years, so I know what to do, I know how to sustain it, and I’m clever enough to maintain that. The habit is certainly there, so don’t think about that,” Mikel Arteta said.
Arsenal will take on Fulham tomorrow in a crucial game in the English Premier League.
Manager Mikel Arteta has indicated that Saka is ready to start the game, but a decision to throw him into the mix will be taken in the final hours to the match.
