Ivorian footballer Kouassi Gervais, popularly known as Gervinho, sees himself as the new Robert Pires at Arsenal. Drawing inspiration from Pires’s journey with the Gunners, Gervinho, who faced challenges in his initial season with Arsenal, aims to have a successful second season. Pires, a Frenchman, joined Arsenal in 2000 and overcame early difficulties to become a key player, winning two Premier League titles (2002 and 2004).
Gervinho, who scored four goals in 35 matches last season, hopes to follow a similar trajectory. He acknowledges the need to adapt his game and is confident in his abilities, expressing a desire to show the club and its supporters what he can achieve in the upcoming season. Arsenal drew their first match of the season against Sunderland and is gearing up for a challenge against Stoke City in the next fixture.
