Premier League club Arsenal have reportedly reached an agreement in a deal believed to be around the region of £62million to secure the services of Nigeria international Victor Osimhen from Napoli.
Osimhen is set for a permanent departure from Napoli in the summer, with Arsenal and other top European clubs showing keen interest in the former Serie A goal king.
The Nigeria international is currently on a season-long loan at Galatasaray after failed move to Chelsea and Al Hilal last summer.
Arsenal are in the hunt for a new striker and have been linked with a move for Osimhen in the summer transfer window.
Per reports, the Gunners have agreed to trigger the £62million release clause with Napoli for Osimhen to snap up the Nigeria star in the next window.
Arsenal have not been clinical in front of goal this season, forcing the club to secure a ‘world class forward ahead of the new season.
Kai Havertz, who has been leading the lines for Arsenal has managed only nine goals and provided three assists in 21 Premier League matches.
However, manager Mikel Arteta in his quest to fix the goalscoring woes has set sights on Osimhen.
The Nigeria international has racked up 16 goals and provided 4 assists in 20 appearances in the Turkish top-flight. In all competitions, he has made 28 appearances, scoring 22 goals and serving five assists across the period.
