Sevilla are reported to be tracking Le Havre centre-back Arouna Sangante, with the La Liga side weighing up a move for the €8.00m-rated defender.

The 23-year-old, who holds Senegalese and Guinea-Bissau nationality, has emerged as one of Le Havre’s key players in Ligue 1 and is now being linked with a switch to Spain, according to data from Transfermarkt. The reported probability of the transfer is currently listed as unknown (“?”), but the interest comes at a time when his contract situation at the Norman club is unclear, raising the prospect he could become a free agent if no extension is agreed.

Sangante, born on 12 April 2002 in Mbao and standing at 1.89m, is a right-footed centre-back who has come through Le Havre’s famed development pathway. After joining from Red Star’s youth set-up in 2017, he progressed from Le Havre’s U17 side to the B team in 2018, before stepping up to the first team in July 2021. He wears shirt number 93 for the Ligue 1 outfit.

His market value has risen sharply in recent years, climbing from €200,000 in August 2021 to a peak of €10m by late 2023 and mid-2024, before settling at €8m in the latest assessment in December 2025. That valuation is likely to form a reference point in any negotiations between Le Havre and Sevilla.

Sangante has been a regular in Le Havre’s recent league fixtures, including their latest outing in Ligue 1, where he started in central defence in a narrow defeat against top-half opposition earlier this month, contributing with several clearances and aerial duels won despite the result going against his side.

With Sevilla seeking to refresh their back line and Sangante approaching what could be a pivotal stage of his career, a move to La Liga would offer the defender a significant platform to enhance his reputation if the deal is ultimately completed.
