After a challenging start to the season, Arnold Mvuemba found himself on the brink of joining Everton during the winter transfer window. However, the move fell through, and the Franco-Congolese midfielder has since reclaimed a starting position with Olympique Lyonnais in the last nine matches. This turnaround is something he couldn’t have imagined just a few months ago, especially considering the injuries to Fofana and Gourcuff which opened up opportunities for him. Consequently, Mvuemba is uncertain about his future at Lyon.
“I don’t ask myself any more questions than that about the future,” Mvuemba stated on the FIFA website. “The most important thing now is to prepare well for this final and the last very important matches of the season. Then it will be time to see what happens,” he adds.
