Olympique Lyonnais midfielder Arnold Mvuemba appears to be nearing a potential move to Liverpool, with AS Saint-Etienne also expressing interest. In an interview with Le Progrès, Fleury Di Nallo, one of the player’s representatives, mentioned that several Ligue 1 teams have inquired about Mvuemba. Di Nallo highlighted the interest from two top-tier clubs and acknowledged Mvuemba’s extensive experience with almost 200 matches in Ligue 1.
Notably, in a recent statement to the same newspaper less than a week ago, Di Nallo emphasized Mvuemba’s success at Portsmouth, including winning the Cup, and his positive reputation in the English championship. The Chairman of Liverpool has reportedly shown interest, questioning Mvuemba’s limited playing time at Olympique Lyonnais and exploring the possibility of bringing him on board.
The looming question remains whether Mvuemba will make a move to England or opt to stay in Ligue 1. As of now, the answer to this question remains elusive.
